Fresh Tomato Soup

6-8 Ripe Tomatoes

1 small onion diced

2 Tbls. Butter

1 cup milk

1 cup water

salt and pepper to taste

1/4 tsp. Baking Soda

2 Tbls. Sugar (try one first and see if that suits your taste, you can always add more later)

Boil the tomatoes in water for 10 minutes to get the skin to peel off.  Chop up and put in pot.  Cover with just 1 cup of water.  Add the diced onions butter, salt and pepper.  Let cook 30 minutes.

Add sugar and baking soda and stir. (It will froth a bit..).  Add milk and stir well.  If you can make this ahead of time and let it sit in the refrigerator over night, itıs much better the next day.
